Nature Break - La Palma

La Palma
Also known as Isla Bonita (Beautiful Island), part of the Canary Islands. Four hour flight from London, perfect for a peaceful break as there are no busy night spots and hardly any tourism.

Caldera de Taburiente
This volcanic formed island has walking areas and rock climbing, even on the Caldera de Taburiente volcano, the largest known crater in the world which peaks at about 2,400m. The base of the island is 4000m below sea level. More importantly are the clean beaches.
Great place to chill out.
Desert - Tunisia

Sousse
Often referred to as the 'Jewel of the Mediterranean', three hours away from the forests, mountains and Tunisia's fascinating rich heritage. Located in North Africa, just on the edge of Europe are mainly Roman and Arabian remains. The French influence on the country is still evident and intact.

Camel Trek
The three main cities are Tunis - the capital, Sousse and Carthage. They are homes to cosmopolitan cafes, busy nightspots and near the beaches, no more than half an hour away.
For adventure, sand yachting and camel trekking across the Sahara is fun while exploring more of Roman Africa.

The Great Pyramids
An extra two hours away. Immerse yourself in a culture that dates back more than 5000 years, starting with the great pyramids and Sphinx at Giza as well as the camel trekking and rolling sand dunes.

The Sphinx
Cruise along the Nile from Luxor for relaxation in the sun and pass by the monuments of Alexander the Great and Aswan in Alexandria. An extraordinary view.
Cairo is filled with busy bazaars, shops, museums and galleries.
Fun in the Sun - Cyprus

Paphos
Paphos, the birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty is popular for its resorts, nightlife, shopping, food, golf and you are under the sun everyday. Four hours away and most hotels have spas, ideal first stop after a flight. Close by is Akamas National Park, an area of unspoilt grounds, great walking place and enjoy the beautiful view of Troodos Mountains and Mount Olympus.

Ayia Napa
More upbeat is Ayia Napa which is further east on the south coast where you will also find white sand beaches. Water skiing and kite surfing are popular sports there. The rest of the country has over 10,000 years of history, walk around the Venetian walls, ancient tombs and Roman mosaics.
